Product Recommendation: Mustela baby products

Every time a friend tells me I MUST use something for my kids I generally file the advice in the back of my mind and don’t think about it much more. You see, most of the time I try to convince myself that because I have a lot of children that I know everything about kids. BUT, pre-children, one of my best friends Georgie (I can call her Georgie without giving her identity away as I have 5 friends called Georgie, it was very confusing at school!), anyway Georgie gave me some Mustela products at a baby shower for baby no 1 with the advice that whilst she wasn’t a Mum, she’d heard a little secret about these products called Mustela that were an apparent ‘must have’! I took the pretty smelling products and put them aside until I walked into the bathing area at the maternity hospital and voila, the hospital were using Mustela too – that was enough endorsement for me.

Truth is however, that whilst these products are rather pricey (b/w $15-$40 per product), it’s seriously good stuff, the best. I’ve used the newborn shampoo/foam for all 4 babies and when a touch of cradle cap hits their scalp, it’s gone after one shampoo. The moisturisers as well are so mild on the babies skin that I’ve never once had a baby with scaly or dry skin. All the products smell delicious and they last a long time. The newborn shampoo for example lasts three months per bottle. My tip would be next time someone asks you what you want or need for baby, ask them to buy you a couple of Mustela products, they can be hard to find but once you start buying them, you will be hooked.
